Custody

In Texas, custody is called “conservatorship.” Conservatorship orders, also known as custody, are determined at the establishment stage and define each parent’s rights and responsibilities, including where the child will live and the rights each parent will have to make decisions regarding the child. Conservatorship or custody does not mean the amount of time each parent will have with the child.
